5 Day Classic Lash Course + Lash Kit

Applying to enrol is very easy! Simply select your course dates and choose a payment method – you can pay upfront or apply for a "study now pay later" payment plan.

Once you have completed the checkout process, you’ll receive a confirmation email with a link to complete your study now pay later application (if applicable). Please do this straight away to finalise your enrolment.

The whole process should take you less than 15 minutes to complete and approvals are generally the same day provided we have all the necessary information.

Once approved, we’ll be in touch via phone and email with some more details about your course to help you prepare.

Upon completion of your Course, you will be able to successfully conduct the following eyelash extension services:

• Classic full sets
• 2D full sets
• Hybrid/Volume full sets using pre-made fans
• Lash refills
• Lower lash application
• Eyelash extension removals

You will have the opportunity to practise your new skills on 5 live models under the supervision and guidance of your experienced educators.

This Course also extensively covers business and marketing strategies unique to the eyelash extension industry.

Day 1 – Joy's Golden Rules + Fundamental Techniques

• History of Eyelash Extensions
• OH&S and Professionalism
• Safe and hygienic work practices
• Joy’s Golden Rules
• Lash growth cycle
• Tweezer hold and posture
• Isolating lashes correctly
• Preparing your client for eyelash extension application
• Applying extensions to lashes
• Supervised practice on a mannequin

Day 2 – Eyelash Extension Styling + Working with Clients

• Extension fibres, curls, and diameters
• Assessing client features
• How to map lash designs
• Identify common allergies, sensitivities, and eye conditions
• Troubleshooting difficult client scenarios
• Identifying and removing stickies for damage-free lashes
• Lash Photography
• 3 hour supervised live model practice

Day 3 – The A-Z of Maximising Client Lash Retention

• Understanding lash adhesives
• Troubleshooting common adhesive issues
• Client aftercare and other factors that affect retention
• Troubleshooting poor retention
• 2 x 3 hour supervised live model practice

Day 4 – Marketing + Business Strategies

• Strategies for designing & pricing your lash menu
• Defining your Ideal Client
• Unique client retention strategies
• Marketing on a budget
• Effective social media content
• Facebook & Instagram Success
• Online booking systems
• 3 hour supervised live model practice

Day 5 – Refills, Removals, + Advanced Techniques

• Stocking your lash kit
• Conducting efficient refills
• Speed lashing techniques
• Classic lower lashes
• Safely apply pre-made volume fans
• 2D lash combinations
• Removing eyelash extensions
• 3 hour supervised live model practice

Total Course Duration

Model Practice Time = 18 hours (5 models)
Theory Component = 22 hours
Total = 40 hours over 5 days (approx.)

Our Classic Lash Mastery Courses are suitable for complete beginners with no industry experience or lash stylists who have trained elsewhere and are not feeling confident in their techniques and knowledge.

The only requirement (aside from a positive attitude to learning!) is that you are over 15 years of age and have good vision for detailed work. Many lash stylists choose to wear glasses for extra support.

Our courses are held at LashJoy Academy, Brisbane. We run 1-2 beginners courses per month.

Several public transport options are nearby, and we are just 10 minutes from the CBD and 20 minutes from the Brisbane Domestic Airport.

If you’re not from Brisbane, that's ok! More than 50% of our students travel from interstate or overseas to attend training.
